Peugeot has treated their next generation 208 hatchback to an impressive makeover, giving the model a fresh and sporty new look. Expect to hit UK showrooms in June this year the new Peugeot 208 will be available with the all new textured paint option, which is a world first in the automotive market.

Appearance

Inside the new 208 you will find the Peugeot i-cockpit with large touchscreen as well as an array improved comfort and stylish finishes within the spacious cabin. Outside the wider fully integrated grille and new front bumper have transformed the vehicle’s exterior appearance. Paired with two-tone headlamps to the front and redesigned full LED clusters at the rear to make room for the 3D claw lights, the model is the epitome of style on the road. Whilst the altered sides and chrome windows remain, new 16” and 17” alloy wheels are available as optional extras for the perfect, impressive finishing touch.

Performance

All versions of the new 208 meet the Euro 6 emissions standards and feature BlueHDi technology to provide one of the most efficient running diesel cars on the market. The 1.6 BlueHDi engine comes in a choice of three power levels, including the 100 S&S and 75, both of which are available with a five-speed manual gearbox and impressive economy of 94.1mpg. The 120 S&S on the other hand is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox and produces just 94g/km of CO2.

The PureTech family engine range has also been expanded to include the 1.2 litre turbocharged PureTech 110 S&S version, available with five-speed manual gearbox to produce an impressive 103g/km of CO2 emissions.

The new EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox will be available as an added extra with the new 208 and uses Quickshift technology for faster, smoother gear changes.
