The All-New Peugeot 5008 SUV Coming Soon To Richard Hardie

Posted on:

Arriving to Richard Hardie Peugeot Centres in January 2018, the All-New Peugeot 5008 SUV is set to make heads turn with its sharp robust design. If you can’t wait till January, Richard Hardie Ashington and Durham are holding exclusive preview events in November. See the bottom of this article to book your appointment!

New Experiences

The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV oozes with sophisticated technology and design to ensure your driving experience reaches maximum comfort and satisfaction. Firstly, enhanced with the Peugeot i-Cockpit® centre console which explores the digital world on your journey. For those longer journeys, whether it be travelling to an important conference for work or returning from a week-long holiday in the French Alps, the new 5008 SUV offers a driver’s seat multipoint massage offering five massage types (optional on Allure trim). Entice your mood along your journeys with the mood lighting, which runs along the door pockets, centre console and the roof. Further to this the premium Hi-Fi Focal® system (optional from Allure trim) ensures you are wrapped in a space of pure and sharp acoustics with the 10 built-in speakers.

Design

The new Peugeot 5008 SUV is the largest of the SUV range from Peugeot. The 7-seater ensures that all passengers are comfortable, with the second row allowing for passengers to recline their seats and increase their legroom space; the third row also provides plenty of headroom and leg space. This leads onto the generous boot space the Peugeot 5008 SUV has to offer; fold down the third row seats for 952 litres of space; remove the third row seats (each weighing 11kg which can be stored within your home) to increase the capacity to 1,060 litres and fold down the second row to increase boot space capacity to 2,150 litres!

The exterior design on the Peugeot 5008 SUV combines the raised ride height and striking front end design to ensure you’re noticed on the road. The new model also includes contrasting wheel arch trims with the alloy wheels ranging from 17” to 19”; and for keen travellers who need more storage space, there are aluminium roof bars. Optional on the Active, Allure and GT Line trims is the panoramic glass roof, allowing more light to enter the cabin during the day, and a view for star gazing on an evening.

Technology & Safety Features

Step inside the Peugeot 5008 SUV to a realm of technology and safety features. From the Allure trim level you will find 3D Navigation system which provides you with live updates on traffic, weather and parking in the area you are travelling to, as well as full postcode lookup and voice recognition. The 8.0” capacitive touchscreen allows for Mirror Screen Functionality, meaning you can mirror your phone screen to the touchscreen to send messages, receive and make phone calls, browse music and much more. This increases the safety of your journey and ensures you are not breaking the law by using your mobile whilst driving. The Mirror Screen Functionality is compatible with Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto and Mirrorlink® and allows for USB charging and use of the smartphone charging plate (optional on Active and Allure trims).

The All-new Peugeot 5008 SUV encompasses safety in every area of the design and build of the model. Starting with Active Blind Spot Detection which alerts the driver when an object is in the path of the moving vehicle, if no reaction is made from the driver, the trajectory correction to the steering is applied gently to move the vehicle back into the lane to avoid a collision. For tougher terrains and weather conditions the Peugeot 5008 SUV includes Advanced Grip Control (optional on Active and Allure trims), which helps to control the vehicle through mud, snow and sand conditions. For those difficult times when parking your car, the Peugeot 5008 SUV includes front (optional on Active trim) and rear parking sensors as well as a 180° colour reversing camera (optional on Active trim).

The All-new Peugeot 5008 SUV will be available in both petrol and diesel engines and available with either manual or automatic gearboxes. There will be a choice of 3 trim levels, starting with the standard Active, then moving up to the Allure trim then the highest specification, the GT Line trim.
