Peugeot 3008 SUV Receives Stylish Facelift, More Room & Advanced Tech Updates

Ahead of its official launch at the Paris Motor Show in September. Peugeot have revealed photos and details of the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV. The car has been completely transformed, now a highly attractive entry to the SUV market thanks to sleek, handsome looks and a spacious, plush interior packed with cutting-edge technology.

Despite remaining one of the most compact SUVs around, the wheelbase has been lengthened as well as the overall length, with the new 3008 80mm longer than its predecessor. This will be most noticeable for the rear passengers, who will now benefit from an addition 4mm elbow room and 36mm headroom. There’s some more room up front too; there’ll be 17mm of extra elbow space for the driver and front passenger.

The boot will be bigger as well – there’ll now be 520L with the option of folding rear seats for a total of 1580L. But thanks to clever Peugeot design work, the new 3008 will be 100kg lighter than the smaller model it replaces, meaning a better drive alongside improved fuel economy.
The appeal doesn’t end with head-turning good looks and a cavernous cabin. The new 3008 will also benefit from a wealth of outstanding technology, including Peugeot’s innovative new i-cockpit. This comes in the form of an 8” touchscheen in the central console and 12.3 inch display behind the wheel, replacing traditional buttons and dials. And with Peugeot’s i-cockpit Amplify system, the new 3008 promises a truly unforgettable ride.

The Amplify system works on sensory arousal through sight, sound, touch and smell – this ranges from a multi-point massage from the seats to releasing fragranced air. The technology doesn’t stop there, either – there’s also a plethora of safety kit like Autonomous Emergency Braking, lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and a 360 degree camera to help with parking, as well as connective technology including Mirror Screen for smartphones, 3D connected navigation and much, much more.

For keener drivers, there’s also the option of a Driver Sport Pack, which works in harmony with i-Cockpit Amplify to offer a ‘Relax’ driving mood and ‘Boost’ setting with a more responsive throttle.
Prices and specifications for the new Peugeot 3008 SUV will be released at its official launch this autumn. The updated 3008 SUV will be available to order from November, with first deliveries due in January 2017.
