The team at our Durham dealership have joined forces to show their support to Sales Manager Lee Lulham, whose wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January this year. After undergoing surgery, Joanne is now raising money for the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs to children in the UK who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.

Having already exceeded their expectations of raising £350 to cover the cost of one wig for the charity, Joanne has successfully raised £2,500 in just 48 hours as a result of the tremendous support she’s received from family and friends. Richard Hardie has also agreed to donate £50 per car sold at a dealership event they held last week, and fellow salesman Paul Souter has raised £220 by shaving his own hair in aid of the charity.

Paul wrote on his Facebook page saying, “Done my bit and shaved my head to help raise money for a very close friend’s wife who is battling, and beating cancer. She is raising money for a charity that makes wigs for children who are battling cancer and going through chemo. Sadly they didn't want my hair because they couldn't find any kids who fancied a grey wig. But everyone can do there bit by donating. Take a look at her page. It's frightening, she has raised over £1600 in 24 hours. Thank you all for your support and donations so far.”

Donations have now reached a grand total of £4,879.63! If you would like to join us in supporting Lee and Joanne in their bid to raise money for the Little Princess Charity, click here to make a donation on the Just Giving website.
