If you’re looking for a car that boasts an impressive combination of power and efficiency, then look no further than the 208 GTi! The model captured the attention of crowds at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and forms part of brand’s popular 208 range. The new edition also marks the 30th anniversary of the first 208 GTi, which originally debuted in 1983.
The vehicle has been tweaked and modified by the experts at Peugeot Sport, who are also the masterminds behind the RCZ R. Car enthusiasts were excited to get a closer glimpse of the new design and specifications before it hits dealerships in the UK in June later this year.
Highlighted features include the Torsen limited-slip differential between the front wheels as well as the specially designed car-to-ground connecting components, allowing for improved grip and traction. The tighter handling gives the driver better control at higher speeds, alongside the additional boost of torque power, which comes as a result of the 1 1.6 THP Stop & Start Technology turbo engine.
With the ability to reach a speed of 62mph in 6.5 seconds, there is an impressive mixture of sportiness and efficiency with C02 emissions at just 125g/km. This makes the 208 one of the most superior performers in its class.
The concept car made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in an eye-catching bright red with contrasting jet black matte finish. Once available at dealerships around the UK, the colour scheme will be available for an extra cost in addition to the one colour option designs.
