Peugeot boss Jean-Philippe Imparato has announced as part of the company’s ‘push to pass’ strategy by 2021 Peugeot will have an exciting new range of hybrid and electric vehicles on the road. The 3008, 5008 and 508 will have plug-in variants and the 208 and 2008 will get fully electric additions to the range. The new range of cars will suit those looking at anything from a hatchback to an SUV, it is an exciting time for the brand.
The announcement of the new hybrid range of cars comes as the Peugeot 5008 is officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The Peugeot 5008 is a new seven-seater SUV, head over to our new car page to find out about this fantastic new model. The new model will feature the all-new Peugeot i-Cockpit, which you can also find more about in our news section.
It is predicted that the three plug-in hybrid vehicles will be based on the EMP2 platform and the CMP will accommodate the fully electric models. The 3008 plug-in hybrid model should achieve an impressive 60km in range.

Will The Current Peugeot Range Still Be Available?
Don’t fret, the current range of Peugeot models won’t be going anywhere just yet. Peugeot boss Jean-Philippe Imparato has stated that the current vehicles are just as important to the future of Peugeot as the new hybrid and electric range of cars.
By 2021 there is going to be an extensive range of Peugeot cars available, and here at Richard Hardie we will be on hand to help you choose the right car for you, whether it is a plug-in hybrid, fully electric or a more traditional engine car.
