Peugeot 308: The Perfect Fleet Vehicle

Posted on:

On the hunt for an ideal fleet vehicle? If so, then look no further than the Peugeot 308, the ultimate fleet car which ticks all the boxes…

When choosing a company car that can deliver as part of a fleet, it may seem obvious which features would be at the top of the list, with efficiency and reliability being right up there.

However, there should be more to consider when choosing a car to not only get you from here to there, but to also reflect the image of your company, with ‘professional’ and ‘modern’ being another two list toppers. It seems the new Peugeot 308 could be just what the director ordered for a new modern fleet car that ticks all the boxes.

When the new design of the 308 was released in 2013 it seemed to be focused mainly at domestic use as a sophisticated yet economical hatchback for the family. Today, the range offers a car for any driver and any of the 308 family could be the perfect addition to your company fleet.

First off, the car ticks the economical box effortlessly, putting your mind at ease while your workforce is at the pump. The 308 range achieves between 50 and 91mpg depending on engine size and model, with the 1.6 litre BlueHDi achieving that impressive 91mpg.

Three, three-cylinder petrol engines are on offer as well as a 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesel model also available and all engines meet Euro 6 standards for their respective fuel type. Customers can choose either a six speed automatic or a five or six speed manual gearbox, and eight available engines feature engine start & stop technology, which cuts emissions particularly when commuting.
The minimalist interior has a lot to offer as well with an impressive 9.7 inch touchscreen display which allows the driver to focus on the road and not on distracting dials and buttons. Taking away bulky displays and flashing lights gives the dash a cool, minimal feel to match the exterior.

Those wanting to conduct business at higher speeds will not be disappointed by the GT models of the 308. Inside, the GT boasts aluminium pedals and red stitching that ooze race car appeal. Under the hood, a 1.6 litre petrol engine reaching 205bhp or a 2.0 litre diesel engine offering 180bhp are sure to get you their faster. With tighter handling and stiffer suspension, the GT sits a little bit lower on 18 inch wheels and a lot more aggressive for an edgy, sporty look including dual exhausts.

On the other hand, if space and practicality is a necessity for your business, the SW estate features the same impressive engine range but also offers 660 litres of boot space which can reach up to 1,660 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

If you want the head-turning look of the GT but the economy of the other models, you will find the perfect answer in the GT SW and Hatch. From the outside, these models offer the same sporty styling and lower height, but under the bonnet remains the same efficient engines that power the base range. Perfect for those who are as style conscious as they are cost savvy.

With timeless design and a 16,000 mile service interval, the 308 will serve as a long standing partner for any business. Check out our range of Peugeot 308’s or come by one of our dealerships to arrange a test drive.
