Servicing your car regularly has many benefits for both your car and your pocket!

Not only does regular servicing keep your car in the nearly new condition you bought your car in, but it also helps to identify any minor issues, which in the future could progress to major problems. Distinguishing any such issues at an early stage will help prolong the lifespan of your car as well as saving you money! 

Here at Richard Hardie, we recommend that your car has an annual service; a level 2 service includes:

GENERAL

  • Road test
  • Check for outstanding Manufacturer's Quality Updates

SERVICE CHECK

  • Clutch travel or auto play take up
  • Condition of drive belts

REPLACE 

  • Engine oil
  • Engine oil filter
  • Petrol filter**
  • Diesel fuel filter element**
  • Air filter
  • Spark plugs**

SAFETY CHECK & INSPECTION 

  • Brake pads & disc wear
  • Brake hydraulics
  • Rubber boots & gaiters
  • Tyres - tread depth & pressure
  • Handbrake and horn
  • Rear brake lining wear
  • Valve clearance*
  • Shock absorbers
  • Power steering and hoses
  • Wheel bearings
  • Front & rear suspension
  • Steering Control & Mechanism
  • Transmission shafts

LEVELS (Check & Top Up)

  • Battery (incl.state of charge)
  • Brake fluid level
  • Coolant level
  • Front & Rear screen wash
  • Power steering fluid level

FUNCTIONAL & VISUAL CHECK 

  • All lights, lenses and mirrors
  • Wiper blades and arms
  • Windscreen washer jets
  • External bodywork
  • Fuel filter purging (Diesel)

ENVIRONMENTAL CHECK 

  • Anti pollution check (petrol)
  • Smoke opacity check (diesel)
  • Pollen filter
  • Exhaust system
