Discover a Whole New Driving Experience with the Innovative Peugeot i-Cockpit®

Driving is evolving all the time. Cars are becoming smarter, faster, more responsive; more exciting; while advances in interior technology make everyday driving a new experience altogether. And at the forefront of this exciting and ever-changing industry sits the new Peugeot i-Cockpit®.

The Peugeot i-Cockpit® re-establishes the traditional driving layout, innovatively designed to make life on the roads more intuitive and safe. Firstly, there’s a compact sports steering wheel, notably smaller in size than the average wheel offering increased agility and precision steering. It’s positioned lower than usual as well, with a ‘head up’ instrument panel positioned so you can view it above the steering wheel rather than through it. That means you can access a wealth of driving information without taking your eyes off the road. Both the steering wheel and driver’s seat are completely adjustable, so that you can find a driving position that offers the perfect fit.

Meanwhile across from the compact sports steering wheel, you have access to unending functionality thanks to a large multifunction colour touch screen, cleverly designed for easy use which doesn’t distract from the road.

The Peugeot i-Cockpit® comes as standard on the new Peugeot 208, the Peugeot 2008 SUV and Peugeot 308, all available here at Richard Hardie in Duham, Sunderland and Ashington.

Next-Generation Peugeot i-Cockpit will Debut in the Peugeot 3008 SUV this October

The Peugeot i-Cockpit continues to develop in-line with the latest technological advances and ideas, as well as customer feedback. A next-generation version of the Peugeot i-Cockpit will first appear in the new Peugeot 3008 SUV which goes on sale this October, packed with breaking-edge features to completely revolutionise the driving experience.

It takes the cabin layout of the existing Peugeot i-Cockpit® and adds the entirely new dimension of sensory stimulation. Coined the new Peugeot i-Cockpit® with Amplify, it features sensory buttons which allow you to choose the mood for the drive through four main elements:
- Sight – the interior lighting and colour screens vary in intensity
- Sound – through musical ambience settings
- Touch – via a multi-point seat massage with up to five programmes
- Smell – via an advanced fragrance dispenser with three aromas and three intensity choices.

The new Peugeot i-Cockpit® also offers a world of new digital features, including a customisable 12.3” head-up digital display in place of the instrument panel. To top it all off, a high-fidelity FOCAL hi-fi sound system allows you to enjoy your luxurious sensory journey with outstanding acoustics.

If you like the sound of the next-gen i-Cockpit or want to find out more any of the existing i-Cockpit models, contact our friendly team today here at Richard Hardie! We’re always happy to answer any questions and help match you with the modern and exciting Peugeot car you’re looking for.
