With the new Abarth 124 Spider not expecting to be released for another year or more, the Abarth 695 Biposto is the currently the most extreme compact car the performance manufacturer have created. Find out more about the Abarth 124 Spider.

To purchase the 695 Biposto you could be looking at spending up to £50,000 however this is including every single optional extra. The package is made to give you the thrill of a racing car all in a compact car shell.

The look of the Abarth 695 Biposto from the outside is sporty and neat; it doesn’t shout out supercar! This attribute is experienced when you step in the car, strap yourself to the carbon-fibre seats, turn the engine on and rocket down the road.

The most impressive upgrade is the gearbox specifically known as the ‘dog box’. This describes the H-pattern gearbox which allows seamless clutch-less gear shifts giving the driver the exhilarating feel of race car-like acceleration. The special ‘dog box’ gear lever is surrounded by quality leather and sits slightly lower than the standard gear-box.

Choosing the Track Kit optional extra for your Abarth will give you racing carbon-fibre-shelled Sabelt seats with four-point seatbelts, so strap yourself in and embrace the nimble Biposto. The Carbon Kit extra includes carbon-fibre door cards and dashboard that are a great addition to the extreme look of the car.

If you’re not a track day enthusiast and don’t wish to spend much on the optional extras, the standard Abarth 695 Biposto can still give you an exciting ride. A three-bar roll cage and Akrapovic sports exhaust come as standard giving you the touring car feel without compromising on the day-to-day comforts.

The similar 1.4-litre turbo engine found in the original Abarth 500 has been fine tuned to boost the power output from 133bhp to an amazing 187bhp! This amount of power integrated into a superlight-weight chassis at just 997kg is ideal for unleashing on a good track day. Don’t let the compact size fool you, this rocket of a car can do 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds and reach an impressive 140mph top speed.
